are getting married in Vegas — on purpose. Saturday, January 9, 2027, Little White Wedding Chapel. Come as you are.
“I love you no matter what you do, but do you have to do so much of it?”— Daniel Brezida, Philosopher
We're getting married in Vegas. On purpose. Elvis is officiating.
We're in town Thursday through Monday. Most people land Friday and leave Sunday, but come for one night or all five — we'll be there.
Beyond the plan below: whatever we want. Drinks, brunch, gambling, the pool if it's somehow warm, people-watching. Erin will start a group chat once everyone lands. You're also allowed to disappear — nobody will be offended.
1301 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89104
Just north of the Strip — take a rideshare there and back. Arrive early; they will not wait for you.
Open in Maps ↗Erin & Michael are at The Venetian, Thursday through Monday. You do not have to stay there — here are our picks at a few price points.
Walk, or take an Uber. That covers 95% of the weekend. Do not rent a car.
Funky semi-formal.
If you would wear it to dinner with Elvis, you can wear it to our wedding.
Think 1970s Vegas, but the fun version. Color, pattern, shine, texture, a little bit of drama. Dressed up enough for a chapel and a nice dinner, loose enough that you can dance in it at 1 AM.
This is not a black-tie wedding. Nobody needs a gown or a tux. It's also not a jeans-and-a-nice-top situation. The sweet spot is "I clearly made an effort and I'm clearly having fun."
If you're standing in your closet going "is this too much?", the answer is no. Wear it.
Please do not wear light blue.
Baby blue, powder blue, sky blue, pastel blue, "it's more of a periwinkle." None of it. That color is spoken for. Royal blue, cobalt, navy, and teal are all fair game and look nothing like it, so you still have the whole blue family minus one shade.
That's it. That's the only rule. Everything else on this page is a suggestion.
Bright, warm, saturated, and a little bit 1975. If it looks like a shag carpet, a vintage Vegas sign, or a bowl of citrus, you're on the right track.
Any length works. Mini, midi, maxi, all of it. Things that are very on theme:
A suit is great. A suit in a color is better. A suit in a color with a printed shirt and no tie is the whole assignment. Things that are very on theme:
What to skip: the plain navy suit and white shirt you'd wear to a work thing. It's a fine outfit. It is not an Elvis outfit. Swap the shirt for something with a print and you're there.

This is an elopement. There's extended family who isn't invited and doesn't know yet — we want to tell them ourselves, a few days after the wedding.
Hold off on wedding content.
No posts of the wedding, the ceremony, or any photos of Erin or Michael until we give the all-clear.
Do take photos. Lots of them.
Take the ugly ones too. Just keep them on your phone for now.
Vegas shenanigans? Post away.
Anything that isn't the wedding itself is fair game.
Then flood the feed.
Once we've made our calls, we'll tell the group chat. Go wild.
Strictly optional. Strictly 18+.
Friday night we're at The Empire Strips Back at the Rio. It is exactly what it sounds like: a Star Wars burlesque parody. You're invited if you want to come, but nobody is checking attendance. If you'd rather be at a blackjack table or asleep, both are valid.
One RSVP covers the whole weekend. Just tick The Empire Strips Back.
Robots. Fighting. Live.
Sunday we're at BattleBots: Destruct-A-Thon — live robot combat at the BattleBots Arena, right behind the Horseshoe. Same deal as Friday: come if you want, nobody's taking attendance. Placeholder: tickets / how it works.
First, a disclaimer: this is very unserious. We are getting married in Vegas on purpose. Come as you are, have fun, and do not stress about any of it. If a question isn't answered here, text Erin. If it is answered here and you ask anyway, Erin will send you this link. (Just kidding.)
Anything else? Text Erin. Seriously. There are no dumb questions, only questions that will end up on this page with a joke attached.
We can't wait to see you. Let's go.
